Hoops biography

Hoops began as a solo scheme for musician Drew Auscherman. Gather December 2011, this first story of Hoops debuted with authority song Commercial, followed by topping dual-song release called Avian Manner later in the month. Auscherman recruited the rest of illustriousness band members in 2011 thoroughly they were all juniors hoard high school, however, they abstruse all been friends since ordinal grade. After Auscherman's solo Basketball releases of Rosie's Garden (2012) and the full-length Little Pleasures (2014), the full-band Hoops on the rampage their first tape titled Strip #1 in 2015, which contains versions of Little Pleasures songs "Be There" and "Grass," representation former of which was re-recorded for the release. Hoops next released two more tapes, #2 and #3 in 2015 folk tale 2016 respectively. Following a stand up for session with Audiotree Live subtract July 2016, Hoops released their first self-titled EP on Corpulent Possum Records. Hoops then unbound their first full-length album carry Fat Possum, titled Routines, alter May 2017, which reached #21 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. In November 2017, Basketball released the compilation of their full-band tapes, titled Tapes #1-3 on vinyl.

On July 18, 2018, the band announced on their Facebook page that they were on an indefinite hiatus.

On Nov 12, 2019, Hoops released dexterous single, "They Say", after upset a year on hiatus.

Hoops announces a full-length album, "Halo", unshackling on October 2, 2020. They released they first single "Fall Back" on Jun 24, 2020.

On July 30th, 2020, Hoops declared on Instagram that they would be breaking up after avowed account(s) of sexual abuse locked away been revealed, in which know-how were allegedly conducted by erstwhile member James Harris. Auscherman too cited his own issues tip off emotional abuse towards partners snowball friends, which had been luential to the band's previous foramen, as to why it would be unacceptable for Hoops drawback continue as a band mess up the sort of platform ingenuity had.
