Sola Kosoko was born January 7, 1980, in Lagos to grandeur Kosoko royal family of Isale Eko. Her father is fine veteran actor, Jide Kosoko. She is also sister to sportswoman, Bidemi Kosoko.

She attended Methodist Pre-eminent School, and Aje Comprehensive Lanky School, Sabo, Yaba.
